Welcome to Saddle & Stomp
Many, many moons ago in the year 2024, a homesick California girl living in Adelaide hosted a 4th of July line dancing class at an American bar. A few keen people showed up for this first class but it soon boomed into a social line dancing event that spilled out onto the streets of Adelaide each week.
Cali Gal El, as she was formerly known, soon realised that this wasn't just a dance class: it was a movement. From this, Saddle & Stomp was born. Saddle & Stomp is a line dancing with a California flare, that means we dance to music of all genres, not just country music (although we do love it). On our playlists you'll find anything from Nickelback to Pitbull. There's always some Disney faves or some nostalgic tunes as well, cause what 90s kid didn't love a bit of Disney?
Dramatic introductions aside, Saddle & Stomp has quickly become Adelaide's home of social line dancing. From weekly classes and social dancing nights, to rural pub takeovers and sold out events, we're truly getting all of South Australia up and moving.
Of course we love a boogie but Saddle & Stomp isn't just about dancing, it's about the community that has formed on the hardwood. This isn't a highly technical dance environment where you need years of training to keep up. Whether you're shy or bold, young or old, a seasoned dancer or someone with two left feet, there's a place for you on the dance floor. All you need is a love for music and you're good to go!
Saddle & Stomp is built on the values of inclusivity, excellence, authenticity and community spirit. And it's these values that influence everything that we do on the dance floor and beyond.
We're always out and about so check out our What's On page for info on where you can find us next!

EL - OWNER & DIRECTOR
Howdy y’all! I’m Eleni, but you can call me El. I'm a California girl who made a new home in Adelaide. I moved to this amazing city after seven years in Sydney and found I was a little homesick. I especially found I was missing the thing that always made me feel grounded, happy and connected to the world around me: line dancing.
After a small (slightly selfish) trial on the mid 2024, line dancing exploded into a movement that’s now bringing people together in ways I couldn’t even imagine!
I grew up dancing hip hop and competitive folk dancing, and I even taught award winning competitive folk dance groups. When I turned 18 I was introduced to line dancing clubs and it completely rocked my world. Since then I’ve been lucky to dance in some of southern California's best line dancing spots and recently attended some amazing events such as The Club line dancing and country swing event in 2025. In 2026, I will be attending The Edge Dance Event in California and I can't wait!
Some fun facts about me: my parents moved to US from Greece in their 20s and built a life as expats and I’m doing the same (although I didn’t have to learn a new language).
When I was a kid, my dream job was to be a professional dancer and choreographer, but when I was 9 my eldest brother told me I’d never make it… jokes on you Yianni!
Saddle & Stomp has grown into something that I could only dream of, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share my love of dance with you all.
I can't wait to see y'all on the dance floor!
MOLLY
An Adelaide local who spent six years in Southern California studying, playing college basketball, and falling head over boots for line dancing. What began as something fun with friends quickly turned into one of her greatest passions.
Now back home, she loves being close to her family, soaking up the outdoors, and sharing the joy of line dancing with an incredible community. She believes laughter fixes most things, lives for spontaneous adventures, and will never pick a favourite movie or TV show, according to her we’re in a golden age of television.

TAYLAH
With 18 years of dance experience and a cheerleading background, she brings confidence, and plenty of personality to every dance floor. She fell in love with line dancing for the music and cute country outfits but stayed for the welcoming community that felt like home.
From Pitbull tracks (her personal favourite) to classic country, she loves exploring new dances, adding styling, and sharing her line-dancing obsession. You’ll usually hear her (loudly) from the middle of the dancefloor yelling “tag!” or “restart!”.
GRACE
After discovering line dancing, she was instantly hooked, falling in love with its mix of rhythm, structure, creativity, and community. She enjoys encouraging dancers find their own style and have a great time in the process.
With experience across multiple dance styles and teaching, she brings a lifelong love of dance to the floor. Off the dance floor, she still doesn’t like to stop, a certified SCUBA diver, adventure chaser, and always enthusiastic in her magnitude of hobbies, rarely sitting still for long.

JAYDEN
This is a face you will always be able to find on the dance floor. He first discovered line dancing with his sister and instantly fell in love. Not just with the dancing, but with the atmosphere, vibes, and the welcoming community that makes Saddle & Stomp feel like home.
With a background as a ski instructor, he brings strong coaching skills, positive energy, and a supportive learning style to every class. When he’s not dancing, you’ll find him skiing, hiking, or out exploring the outdoors. He’s always bringing the good vibes with his great energy to the dance floor.
JESS
After the move from Vancouver to Adelaide to continue her studies, line dancing became a perfect fit. With a background in competitive dance, soccer, and track & field, she’s always been on the move.
What started as a spontaneous night out at a social line dancing night quickly turned into a full-blown obsession. Now surrounded by an amazing community that feels like home, she brings big energy, loud encouragement, and nonstop enthusiasm to every dance with the other half of the Canadian duo.

SOPHIA
Originally from Vancouver, she discovered line dancing at her university’s country bar, where she instantly fell in love with the music, movement, and sense of community. While studying and playing university soccer, line dancing became her favourite way to unwind and have fun.
After moving to Adelaide to study, a new a home was found at Saddle & Stomp thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and incredible community. Alongside fellow Canadian Jess, you’ll often hear her cheering from across the dance floor, always bringing warmth, gratitude, and great energy.
